Welcome back to school. Did you have a good summer holiday? I had a great time visiting California and Singapore.
I visited my cousins in San Francisco and my best friend in San Diego too. We had lots of fun there. My cousin had a baby and her baby is just so cute. San Francisco is very cold even during summer. But San Diego is quite hot.
I also spent lots of time in Singapore during summer too. I got to play with my sister's baby. She is just so cute and adorable. I miss her very much. I also got to spend time with my family. It was good to be home with my parents and my sisters.
Time passed really fast and soon it was time for me to get back to Hong Kong to work. I was looking forward to coming to work to see everyone. Hope everyone had a great summer. Write and tell me what you did over summer.

This is Nok Nok from Class 2C. I also want to share with you about my travel experience in the last summer.
I had a wonderful time in this summer holiday. I went to Koh Samui with my family. Since this was the first time for my sister, Yan Yan who travelled with the airplane, she was very excited. When she was on the plane, she cried because she was scared. My mother carried her for the whole flight but I did not do anything except reading my favourite book.
Koh Samui is a small island in Thailand and is very beautiful. There are many mountains and greeneries. Although the weather was very hot, it is a nice place there.
On the island, we spent most of our time in the resort.The resort was beautiful. The villa I stayed with a small swimming pool inside. Every morning Yan Yan, my niece, my aunt, my uncle, my parent and myself went to swim in our little pool. It was really fun.
We did not go to many places except for Cha Wan Beach. The water was clean and clear.
I like this place and I am happy that I can travel with my sister, my parent and relatives in this summer. I hope I can go again!

Sounds like you and your family had a really good holiday. I've never been to Koh Samui. I've been to Phuket a few times. Phuket is also an island in Thailand. Maybe the next time I'll go to Koh Samui instead of Phuket.

1D. Oh, actually, I'm from class
6C before. I am now a secondary student and I am half-excited and half-nervous. Fortunately, the lessons were not really difficult teaching in english. Maybe you taught me a lot and I don't feel hard in English now.
By the way, let me intreduce my new school to you. First, Ho Cheun Yiu is much smaller than Kei Wai. There are seven storeys as some as KWMW. My class teachers are Miss Chan and Miss Ng. Miss Chan teaches me Economic and Public Affiars. And Miss Ng teaches me English. There are many subjects in secondary such as Chinese, English, Maths, EPA, Arts, Music, Geography, History, Chinese History, Science, LBS, Computer and P.E. I felt really hard but it seems now I feel comfortable.
In my summer holiday, I didn't feel good. There was lots of homework. I had to read 250000 words about idoms and then write about 1000 words. Also, there were three more exercise books for us to complete. Sometimes, I miss KW. But anyway, I like my new school. Did you had a wonderful summer holiday?

It is so nice to meet with you online. This is Sennett Lau from class 6A. I wish to share my marvelous experience with you. I have been to Japan in the last summer holiday.
This was my second time to Okinawa with my family. The place is a paradise for swimmers and surfers.
It is a large island and is very beautiful. There are many beaches there. Although the weather was very hot, I love staying there because swimming is my favorite and the beach was wonderful.
I went there with my cousin's family, Wing, who snorkled with me, she was very excited. As it was the first time she snorkled, she cried because she was scared. My aunt calmed her for the whole journey but I did not do anything besides admiring the beautiful scenes under the waters.
I like this place. I am happy that I can travel with my lovely cousin, my parents and relatives in this summer. I hope I can go again!

In 5th August,2010 to 12th August,2010.I have a trip to Japan---tokyo.The tip was fun.Day1~~We went to Japan---Tokyo by plane from Hong Kong.In the plane,their was a TV in front of our seats.We need to stay in the plane for 4 hour.
Day2~~We got o Tokyo Summer Land.There was a big Water Slide.It was fun.
Day3~~We went to enjoy the hot spring.I like the clothes there.
Day4~~We went to make the Music Box up to the hill.
Day5~~We went to Tokyo Disney Sea.We watched the show about Chip&Dale.It maked us get wet.
Day6~~We went to Tokyo Disneyland.My sister and me played a lot of roller coster there.It was fun.
Day7&8~~We went to play the TV game in a shop.It was fun.We took some sticker photo too.At 2:00p.m.
,we,went to the airport to take the plane.I watched a lot of film too,such as,Toys Stories1,Alice in Wonderland and so on.

During summer hoilday, I visited KFC and Pizza Hut. I learned about the KFC's history and how to cook the chicken, pizza and spaghetti. I ate them with cola, they are all yummy.
Besides, I went to Thailand with my parents. We visited Pataya and Bangkok.
In Pataya, I went to Coral island to played aquatics. They were exciting.

This is Kitty Hon from Class 5A.
I did not have a wonderful time in this summer holiday. I only went on a half-day trip to Inspiration Lake with my parents and a friend. My parents did not bring me to anywhere else. My family is poor and my parents had to work long hours but still could not afford time and money to go on a trip anywhere out of Hong Kong.
Inspiration Lake is small, we went around it in one hour. We then sat down and had a pinic. After that we played Uno for 15 minutes. We had to leave earlier as my friend was bitted by mosquitos.
I know my trip sounds boring. It is no comparison to other's trip to beautiful resorts or wonderful places. But I enjoyed this little time with my parents beacuse they usually could spend very little time with me.

I had a good time in this summer holiday. I went to Hokkaido with my family.It was my fist to go to Japan.When I travelled with the airplane,I was very scared.Because I saw I was in the sky but I was happy too!
Hokkaido is a small island in Japan and it is very beautiful.The weather was very hot but we had to go to many place.
We went to the flower field.There were different kind of flowers such as lavender so we spent most of our time in this place.We took many photos with the flowers.I bought a key ring too.It was an owl.It smelled lavender flavour.I liked it very much.
One day,we went to eat Japan's noodles.It tasted good and it was very yummy.I had to buy a noodles key ring too.

Hi! I,m Bowie. I went to Taiwan this summer. I had a good time there! I spent about 15 days there. It os very hot and shine there. I wore a cap in the most time!!!
I went to Taichung, Hualien, Taitung, kenting, kaohsiung. I love Kenting best because the view is very beautiful and we could go to the beach to play with the send or swim!
Kaohsiung is a big city. there are a lot of shopping mall! We bought alot of things in Kaohsiung!!!!
Taiwan is a very beautiful city. I like it very much!
I also went swimming in thhe summer. I swam in Green Green Club, Blue Blue Club and Chin Chin Club. I like swimming because it is good for health,

Last summer I went to Hong Kong Disneyland with my family .On that day, the weather was great and it was sunny. This was the fourth time I went there, I was still excited.
I got up at seven o'clock in the morning. We went to Tsing Yi to eat breakfast. Then we took the MTR from Tsing Yi to Disneyland. It took about 15minutes.When we arrived it was nearly 9:45a.m.
We rushed to play Teacup fast. It was my favourite game. I could choose a teacup with my favourite colour . I always choose pink. Next, we went to The Smell World. There were many puppets wearing many kind of costumes. They were very beautiful .At 1:45p.m we had lunch in Palace Restaurant. The food was delicious .I ate noodles with chicken wing .Before leaving the Disneyland, we went to play Meting Stitch, there was a long queue .We waited for 10 minutes to meet Stitch. He was very funny.
To conclude, Disneyland is a good place to visit. We have a lot of fun there .I am look forward to my fifth time to go there! It is amazing.

I am Hoi Kiu from Class 5D. I also want to share with you what did I do in my summer holiday.
I had a bad time in my summer holiday. I was sick when I am ready to go to Thailand. So just my sister and my dad went there. After they came back, I went to see the doctor. The doctor told me was ill of pneumonia. I should stay in the hospital a few days. I was sad then.
When I was stay in the hospital, I was unhappy. Forever, my dad, my mum and my sister often visited me.
I wanted to come back home.
When I heard the doctor said I can come back home, I was very happy. After I went home, I need to have a week of medicine.

I am Wing Wing from 5E. I would like to tell you about my trip to Phuket during summer holiday, how I snorkeled with my parents, and my experience of riding a 40-year-old elephant!
I went there in late July. Since my parents had joined a vacation club we did not need to pay for hotel room this time. We spent 8 days in the Marriott Vacation Club Phuket, which is located in Mai Khao Beach. It is built by the sea and we saw waves and tides. The room we stayed was huge. There were three beds and one of them was a king size bed. I enjoyed my stay very much!
One day, my parents took me to snorkel. The coral reef was so beautiful and I also saw sea urchin on the sea bed. On the next day I went for an elephant ride. The cute little thing (yes it was relatively little when compared with other elephants in the same park) was very naughty. In some occasions it did not listen to instructions from its trainer and tried to grasp leaves from trees. The elephant trainer said it was very hungry!
I enjoyed the trip. I love traveling with my mother very much.

Hi! This is Jade Wong, I am from Class 5D.i had a Fun holiday . Family and I went to Interlaken, there was a beautiful view...... and we takes a lot of photos we had a dinner there too, we sleep in the Interlaken’s Hotel sleep! Day 2, we had finished the breakfast, and we had a tasty lunch there, there was rice, fish, vegetables, crabs, albanone…………...! The ice-cream is my favourite food, it is not only a ice cream. There was some mint leaves on the top, chocolate, cookies, some blueberrys, apples and many blackberrys…………!!!! And we went home.

In the last summer holiday,I went to Taiwan for a trip. I went with my god mother and god grandmother. It was a special trip because it was a rail trip around Taiwan.
On the first day, we arrived at Taipei. We lived in a hotel in Yangmingshan National Park. On the second day, we took the train to Hualien. We visited Taroko National Park. We saw a lot of strange rocks and beautiful hills. On the third day, we went to a farm in Taitung. I fed a cow. The cow was very big. I was very scared at first. But at last I fed it without looking at it. On the fourth day, we took the train to Taichung to visit Sun Moon Lake. The scenery was beautiful but it was rainy that day. On the fifth day, we went to Mini World and Doraemon Show Room in the morning. We saw a lot of mini famous attractions, for example, the Tokyo Tower, the Imperial Palace and the Statue of Liberty etc. In the afternoon, we went to Daxi Flower Ocean Farm Ranch. The scenery was wonderful because the flowers were so many that they looked like an ocean. On the last day, we went back to Taipei City. We went to National Palace Museum. I could see the toys of Kang Xi Emperor. I felt the toys were boring. Finally, we bought some souvenirs and went back Hong Kong.
Although most of the time in the trip it was raining, I found the trip was wonderful. I enjoyed going for a trip with my god mother and god grandmother. We ate a lot of delicious food. I hope I can go to Taiwan again.

I have I greatful summer holiday. I went to Japan with my family.
At the first day, we went to Japan by plain in the afternoon. When we arrived there, we have eaten noodles for dinner. After that, we slept at the hotel.
On the second day, we had breakfast first. Then, we go to the Tokyo Disneyland. although the Hong Kong Disneyland is small and don't fun, the Tokyo Disneyland is fun! After that, we had lunch and played at Tokyo Disneyland again. Later on, we had dinner.
On the last day, we went back Hong Kong after we had breakfast.

I felt really great in this summer vacation. I left Hong Kong to Taipei in late August. This was my first time visiting Tai Wan and it was completely fantastic!
On the day we set off, we got up at 4 am! Eventually, we arrived at Hong Kong International Airport at 6 with a set of luggage. We were all looking forward to the journey. We had our breakfast after going through the customs counter.
The flight went one and a half hour. Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport was a bit old so that it is going to be renovated.
We went to different attractions. We ate some traditional food in Danshui Old Street and Jiufen. We also shopping in Taipei 101 Observatory and enjoyed a hot spring… On the last day, we planned our itinerary ourselves. We decided to visit the underground “Book Street”. We spent a lot of time in it. I hope I can travel to Tai Wan again.

I went to Zhongshan to visit my grandparents in the summer holiday. I played badminton with my cousins. I played better than them. We also swam in swimming club. There was a hot spring near it. Besides, we played basketball there. Our team won and we were delighted. I enjoy this trip very much.

I have a happy but boring summer vacation because my home was going to renovation. I have only a few days to play because I need to pack a lot of things and finish the summer exercise. On the other side, I was extremely delighted too because I joined a summer volunteer training course and to be a volunteer. I think to be a volunteer is fun and meaningful because a volunteer can help a lot of people. I hope I can have time to join it again.

Dear Miss Faith,
How are you doing? I went to a military school during the summer holiday and it was extremely boring. I wish I didn’t! The teacher says that we must listen to the stupid rules. I remember one of the students got punished because he hadn’t worn his belt. I myself got in trouble because I didn’t sleep during the lunch break. However, I got a “fine student” certificate when we’re on our journey home.
I also went to the Shang Hai expo. It was really crowded there. We only visited the pavilion that didn’t take us over 1 hour to queue up. I took many kind of public transport, but the most unforgettable one is the train. The people push you out of the train without “sorry” or “excuse me”. It is my 3rd time I went to Shang Hai and it is the first time I think this city bad. I really hope I can visit the next expo.

I think that it is the most boring summer holiday I have been before, I stay at home the whole holiday. Study, doing excercises and using the computer is my only activities but I know that these activities are prepare for my secondery school interview so I pay a lot of attention for it. Hi, I am Gigi from 6D. I went to Japan on Auguest. It was an amazing trip for me.
I went to Japan with my mum and brother. We arranged the schedule by ourselves. WE had staied in many diffenet hotel.
We travel around Kyoto and Osaka by the bus and the subway. Their subway are complex so we made many jokes when we were buying the ticket.
I like traveling in Japan very much. I think I will go to this place once again in future.
Dear Ms Failth, This summer holiday, I visited Expo 2010 Shanghai China with my parents and cousin. We went to many different pavilions, just like some famous pavilion, Pavilion of footprint, Portugal, Korea, Israel, Hong Kong, Oman, Bulgaria, Switzerland and Spain.
The weather was very hot, average 30 degree above at the daytime, so Expo has installed water spraying to cool down the temperature outdoor, it was my first time to see that facility. And there was many visitors over 400,000 in the Expo, we needed to line up for 2 to 3 hours to visit one pavilion.
Although we were very tired on the whole day, we were very happy and excited to see the exhibition in those pavilions .
